Introducing Somerset Pilates.
This idea has been taking shape over the past year as my wife, Lindsay, worked toward becoming a certified Pilates instructor. When the opportunity to open our own studio unexpectedly materialized, it felt like the right time to bring that idea to life.
Pilates builds core strength, movement control and confidence through ranges of motion that traditional gym-based training doesn’t always address—making it an excellent complement to the work that I provide to my clients.
When I asked Lindsay what she liked the most about Pilates, she told me it forces her to focus completely inward. She finishes feeling stronger, more relaxed and less stressed. That experience inspired her to become an instructor and help other people discover the same benefits.
Somerset Pilates is built around small classes, individualized instruction and plenty of personal attention from highly skilled, passionate instructors. With only three Reformers, we can provide the kind of coaching-focused experience we think is missing from many Pilates studios:
More coaching. Fewer people. Better movement.
There will never be more than three people in a class, which means you’re not just paying for a spot on a Reformer—you’re getting actual individual attention and coaching every time you come in.Whether you’re completely new to Pilates, looking for more individualized instruction or wanting to complement your current strength training, these classes are designed to meet you where you are.
This boutique studio is set inside the Athletes Hangar, 10607 Princess Elizabeth Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB, and right above Pivotal Physiotherapy. It’s an ideal setting for anyone looking to progress from rehabilitation into Pilates, general fitness and eventually strength and conditioning.
The bright, airy studio is designed to feel comfortable and encouraging, with top-of-the-line equipment and personalized coaching to ensure you get the best experience possible. We’re currently building out the class schedule, with classes expected to begin November 2th.
And now for the big news
The first founding memberships are gone.
When we first announced Somerset Pilates, we gave our existing clients first access to our Founding Memberships at the lowest rate we will ever offer.
Those memberships have now been claimed. Gone. Done-zo.
The response also showed us exactly what clients want most: the flexibility of weekly memberships and class passes. Based on that demand, we’ve adjusted our Final Founding Release before regular pricing begins.
The Final Founding Memberships
Twice-Weekly Membership — Only 5 Available
Two Reformer classes per week
$209/month for your first six months
Regular price: $239/month
Once-Weekly Membership — Only 10 Available
One Reformer class per week
$119/month for your first six months
Regular price: $129/month
How billing works: Your first payment reserves your membership and covers your November classes. Your next payment will be processed on December 1.
Your Final Founding Member rate is guaranteed from November through April 2027. After that, your membership will continue at the regular monthly rate.
Final Founding Members will also receive over $250 in included benefits:
- Complimentary 30-minute private Reformer orientation
- Founding Member grip socks, water bottle and t-shirt and hoodie
- A complimentary guest pass
- Access to our private Somerset Pilates in-app community
- Early access to workshops and special events
After that?
Founding Member pricing is over.
Regular membership begins with the regular pricing outlined above.
Prefer a Flexible Class Pass?
- 3 classes: $99, regularly $109
- Five classes: $155, regularly $165 ← only 5 available
- Ten classes: $299, regularly $320 ← only 5 available
Why we're limiting memberships
Somerset Pilates isn't designed to be a high-volume Pilates studio. We're intentionally limiting every class to a maximum of three people so Lindsay and our other instructors can coach every person on every Reformer, not simply demonstrate exercises at the front of a crowded room.
That means there are only so many memberships we can possibly sell. And we're not going to sacrifice that experience just to squeeze more people through the doors.
The Final 15 Memberships. That's it.
The first 15 people took the biggest leap with us, so they'll always have the lowest rate.
Once these final 15 memberships are claimed, our presale officially ends and all future memberships will begin at regular pricing. There will be no extensions or additional memberships released at this rate.
If you know you'd like Pilates to become a regular part of your training, there's no benefit to waiting.
Not sure which membership is right for you? Reply to this email and we’ll help you choose.
Seeing the first group commit before we’ve even opened the doors has made this launch feel very real. We’re incredibly grateful for the support, and we hope you’ll join us to experience how Pilates can complement your regular training.
Thank you for being part of it.
